Spatial Spiritual Discernment

Have you ever walked into a park, building, or a room and felt the hair stand up on the back of your neck? Have you ever felt a strong sense of dread fall on you like you walked into a pool of yuck?

This story is all about discovering and discerning that “YUCK” feeling. God was showing me that Ephesians 6:12 is real. “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
On the night this story takes place, He taught me, through my kids’ vision and prayer, How MIGHTY and POWERFUL He is and that He wants to partner with me in prayer to bring Heaven to Earth to dispel the agents of evil and that He will protect me.

Heaven’s Perspective

Learning to hear the voice of the Lord can be helpful in many circumstances, especially when emergencies happen. This medical event happened to my son, Hunter. He was very anxious, but was able to asked Jesus how he saw the situation. The Lord’s response calmed Hunter down and gave him a testimony he will never forget.

I love asking God questions. I especially love watching my kids ask God questions. One night, I was putting my son to bed and we asked God who he would like Hunter to bless at school the next day. Hunter was not getting anything from the Lord. I was not sure what was happening, but I know that God is good all the time and no matter what. So, I told him that even when he does not answer us we should thank Him for who He is. This is a story about what the Lord taught him, even when he did not get any answers.

Jesus at Valley Scare

McKenna and I were swiftly walking out of Valley Fair to miss the Valley Scare ghouls that only come out at night. Her eyes were closed and she was holding my hand as we walked by numerous scary creatures. However, one decided to torment her. He ran up to her and screamed, BOO!” in her face as loud as he could. It terrified her and I was furious.

Jesus, being the loving God that He is, is ALWAY with us (Matt 28:20), even during those scary times. I guided McKenna through a prayer of asking Jesus where He was during that scary encounter and she wasn’t afraid anymore. Jesus showed her how He protected her. He can do the same for you. He is the same yesterday, today and FOREVER!

Encouraging My Daughter To Talk to Jesus

Jesus’ ultimate design is for everyone to feel LOVED and KNOWN by Him, even our children. In this story I share how I helped my youngest understand an encounter she had with Him that spoke directly to her young heart in a way that she would understand His love for her.

Buh-Bye Bad Dreams In Our Home

Scary dreams are no fun at all. They are despicable. Period.

If you have ever held your child as they are curled up in a ball crying from what they saw in their dreams you know you want nothing more than to take their fear away.

In today’s post, I tell a story about how I helped my oldest understand the power of prayer and how Jesus stepped into her dream and radically changed what it was all about.

We have said buh-bye to bad dreams at our home. Now, bad dreams only draw my kids further into the loving arms of Jesus and the enemy has no foothold in that area anymore in the Miller home. PRAISE JESUS! Find out how that is possible in my next post.

DO NOT BE AFRAID-For God Is With You

COVID-19 has so many unknowns and our way of life is so incredibly different that our uncertainty of the future can cause fear to enter in at any moment. Fear is prevalent!

My youngest had an encounter with Jesus where He showed her how to respond to the virus. He also asked her to step out of her comfort zone and to share His truth with the world, (or any adult she encounters). We talked about how she could do that and sharing her story on my blog was one of her suggestions. (Way to go Bentley!)

Calling Out The Gold

We have a Father in Heaven that knows what our greatest potential is, I mean, He put it there, right? So, when He is calling it out, even before we see it, our hearts towards Him change and our view of ourselves can change too, if we believe what is shared.

In this story I share a time when my husband was given a word from the Lord for our oldest daughter, it called out her potential. All she had to do was believe it – she did! In that instant, her belief in herself and her abilities changed instantly.
