This has been a dream of mine! It is so cool to see how the Lord led me to do this. A few months ago I was thinking about this blog post, God has Infinite Creative Solutions – Just Ask. It is about a time in my parenting life where my husband and I had…
Category: Hearing God’s Voice
Heaven’s Perspective
Learning to hear the voice of the Lord can be helpful in many circumstances, especially when emergencies happen. This medical event happened to my son, Hunter. He was very anxious, but was able to asked Jesus how he saw the situation. The Lord’s response calmed Hunter down and gave him a testimony he will never forget.
YOU’RE WELCOME
I love asking God questions. I especially love watching my kids ask God questions. One night, I was putting my son to bed and we asked God who he would like Hunter to bless at school the next day. Hunter was not getting anything from the Lord. I was not sure what was happening, but I know that God is good all the time and no matter what. So, I told him that even when he does not answer us we should thank Him for who He is. This is a story about what the Lord taught him, even when he did not get any answers.
Encouraging My Daughter To Talk to Jesus
Jesus’ ultimate design is for everyone to feel LOVED and KNOWN by Him, even our children. In this story I share how I helped my youngest understand an encounter she had with Him that spoke directly to her young heart in a way that she would understand His love for her.
God Knows The Way
2020 unfolded like no other year, EVER. I decided to write about it and unpack what the year was like in the Miller home as we navigated school transitions, a new home, job changes and the pandemic.
I felt like it happened all under God’s guidance and with His help. I just needed to reach out and ask Him because He knows how to navigate it all.
God answered me as a tender Daddy and it radically impacted me. He showed me how to handle the tough, stressful, and emotional situations. I learned a lot about myself and what I am capable of in the process.
Encountering The Lord In My Grief
I wrote this story a few years ago and I feel I am finally ready to share it. It speaks to the most intimate place of my heart and it shares a part of my walk with the Lord that not many know about. I am in awe with how the Lord continues to share His mysteries with me and how each encounter draws me deeper into a more intimate relationship with Him. Check out my story of how Jesus taught me how to grieve and gave me a glimpse into His love for our pets.
DO NOT BE AFRAID-For God Is With You
COVID-19 has so many unknowns and our way of life is so incredibly different that our uncertainty of the future can cause fear to enter in at any moment. Fear is prevalent!
My youngest had an encounter with Jesus where He showed her how to respond to the virus. He also asked her to step out of her comfort zone and to share His truth with the world, (or any adult she encounters). We talked about how she could do that and sharing her story on my blog was one of her suggestions. (Way to go Bentley!)
Finding Hope During COVID-19
I GOT A JOB! The process to get there had God’s had ALL over it. He even gave me a very specific prophetic word about COVID-19 that wasn’t on anyone’s radar yet. It gave me HOPE that the Lord saw my future and I was in line for His blessings, even when it got difficult. Check out my story of HOPE.
My Sick Puppy
God cares about what we care about! I cared deeply about my first pet, Bella, a sweet Vizsla. On occasion she would get sick, but would always get better within a day. This instance was different. Our regular vet didn’t know what was wrong with her. On my way to the specialty vet, I asked God a lot of questions. His answers told me what would happen next and radically changed how I interact with God. He taught me to keep asking Him questions, that intimacy with Him is ALWAYS His primary goal. James 4:8 says, “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” He is a Good, Good Father who steps into all of our situations, if we ask Him to.
May God Be Glorified
The 17-18 Viking season had me praying a different way. As a Viking’s fan, well, basically as any Minnesota sports fan, it can be pretty disappointing. So, Instead of praying for them to win, I asked the Lord to be glorified in the outcome, no matter what it was. This might sound silly, but it completely changed my view of sports and the Lord taught me about our relationship in the process, as I listened to His voice. Find out what happened in my next post.
