I had the amazing opportunity and experience of being a student at Dare to Believe’s (Burnsville, MN) Emerge Transformation School. Prior to being accepted into the program, I was scheduled to interview one summer afternoon in August. However, I went on a bike ride earlier that day and fell, fracturing my elbow.
My interview was rescheduled and I found it was tough working and living life one handed for a while.
When I was able, I started doing occupational therapy to rebuild my strength and regain full movement. It was coming along, but I was getting frustrated because I wanted to restart my triathlon training yet I could not bike, swim, or lift weights while I was healing. My elbow looked huge and I wondered how long it would take before I was fully healed.
In the fall, one of our teachers was educating us on healing by telling us how to pray and pronounce healing and peace over another person, using the example of Jesus and the disciples.
He told us to speak right to the place needing healing, to tell the pain to leave, and speak full restoration and healing in Jesus’ name. He also said when he starts praying, he asks the Holy Spirit to come in power and presence and then waits to see how God is working before he prays.
Also, I learned that sometimes after you pray once, you may need to pray again. After he taught that night, I walked up to him and asked him to pray for my elbow. He put his hands on my elbow, began listening to the Lord, and then spoke healing into it.
I physically felt the bones move and watched as my elbow shrank.
AMAZING!
At the end of the night I asked him to pray one more time, as I felt I needed just a bit more. He put his hands on it and prayed again. I praised the Lord for healing that night! The teacher then told me,
I now have a mission to pray healing for people because of what God did for me.
After Her Healing
I left, went home, and showed my husband and he could see a visible difference in my elbow. I told him what happened, and we got excited together!
After this night, I began weight lifting again and appreciated my healthy elbow. Since then I have been practicing bringing heaven to Earth by praying healing for people and watching God work in His love through signs and wonders of healing and other works!
